Towards a structural model of institutional pluralism

In this talk I combine institutional theory with structural symbolic interactionism and use semantic network analysis to study a large organization’s nexus of role identities. I offer a classification of different types of institutional pluralism and suggest that the nexus of role identities provides insights into the specific pattern at work.
