POSITIONS. emlyon business school is considering hiring for two tenure-track positions in Strategy. Ideally, we would like to hire one new PhD/Postdoc and one more experienced colleague. Both positions are for our campus in Lyon, France.
Research-wise, we are seeking applicants with a strong interest in Strategy. Whatever the chosen topic or level of analysis, applicants should feel at home at SMS conferences and within the STR division of AoM, for example, and would aim at publishing in the SMJ or similar. Successful applicants will be affiliated with our STORM Research Center.
Teaching-wise, one should expect to teach Strategy. Teaching opportunities are available at the undergraduate, masters, and executive level.


REQUIREMENTS AND APPLICATION. We are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

– a Ph.D. in Business administration, Management, or a closely related field (being close to completion is fine too);

– demonstrated potential for conducting high quality research and publishing in top management journals;

– being a team player (we are a very collegial group and intend to remain so).

– a teaching statement (with teaching evaluations);

– an unpublished paper to be presented if invited for a job interview;

– up to two other significant publications or working papers (optional);

STORM. Both positions will be with STORM, emlyon business school‘s Research Center in Strategy and Organization. A recently launched research center, STORM has been very successful in building a vibrant community dedicated to ambitious research, especially in Organization Theory.
